Using Your Existing Email Account With An Aire Networks Connection

If you have an existing email account with another provider (Verizon, AOL, Earthlink, etc.) that you would like to continue using, you will need to change the outgoing server for that account to our outgoing server. Your mail will still appear to be from the same address. Most providers will not allow you to use their outgoing mail servers while on another network.

In Outlook Express:

From the 'Tools' menu, select 'Accounts.' On the 'Mail' tab, select the account that you need to change and click 'Properties.'

On the 'Servers' tab, change the outgoing server (SMTP) to mail.airenetworks.com.

Then check the box at the bottom that says "My server requires authentication" and click 'Settings.' Select 'Log on using...' and enter your Aire Networks username and password. If you have an Aire Networks email account, use those settings. If you have not received a username and password from Aire Networks, please contact us to get one.

Click 'OK.'

Click 'Close' on the list of Internet Accounts. That's it, you're done! Repeat this process for each outside account (not from Aire Networks) that you have.

In Outlook:

From the 'Tools' menu, select 'Email Accounts.'   Select 'View or change existing e-mail accounts' and click 'Next >.'

Select the account that you need to change and click 'Change.'

Change the outgoing server (SMTP) to mail.airenetworks.com. Click the 'More Settings' button.

On the 'Outgoing Server' tab, check the box that says "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, and select 'Log on using,' then enter your Aire Networks username and password. If you have an Aire Networks email account, use those settings. If you have not received a username and password from Aire Networks, please contact us to get one.

Clicking 'Next' will return you to the accounts list. Click 'Finish.'

That's it, you're done! Repeat this process for each outside account (not from Aire Networks) that you have.
