Aire Networks LLC delivers managed, custom-designed public and private terestrial microwave networks to communities, universities, K-12 campuses and Wireless Internet Service Providers. The company is currently constructing the largest most secure fixed wireless network in existence. It is our goal to compete directly with ILECs in providing superior telecommunications services to underserved commercial and residential customers. To accomplish this, Aire Networks has sought to construct its own Terrestrial Microwave IP Transport Backbone with multiple redundant fibre feeds.
Research into the development of the existing network began in 1999. The first tower was operational in the summer of 2000. In 2001, an attempt to obtain funding through the USDA Rural Development program failed. Various funding and managment issues delayed major backbone development until January 2002. Now Aire Networks has seventeen transmission sites with two more in the construction phase.
As of November 2005, the Aire Networks service area is one of the largest in the country, servicing 40 communities and a vast area of Riverside County. Our customer base places us in the top 15 high speed wireless companies in the country. With our infrastructure in place, it is our goal to be in the top 10 by the first quarter 2006.
